The following dates are important to know about ICIRD-2017:
15 December 2016: Abstract submission opens
15 August 2017: Poster abstracts still accepted until this deadline. Late-breaking oral talk abstracts can be accepted but only by special request. See abstract submission.
28 August 2017: Opening reception. For details about this event and other activities of the Congress, see the Program page.
29 August 2017: Program includes a talk by Nobel laureate Martin Chalfie on nervous system development.
30 August 2017: Program includes a Symposium on Models for the Study of Longevity and Aging.
31 August 2017: Fast train, discussions, and excursion to Firenze. For details of train and times, see Transportation.
1 September 2017: Presidential Symposium on Biological Clocks, in memory of Ronald Konopka, discover of the per clock gene. Also: Symposium on evolution and variation of sexual systems.
2 September 2017: Final session in the Salone dei 500. Palazzo Vecchio, Firenze, with Nobel laureate Tim Hunt talking about control of the cell cycle and a Symposium on Crustacean Reproduction, followed by a closing reception and musical performance.
